L series 42 and 63 tonne split force stone splitters
The L series stone splitter range features the unique SNELL Fully Floating and Double Stroking blade systems . This blade technology produces high quality splits from many stone types and dimensional forms.
SNELL Fully floating blade™
The innovative SNELL Fully floating upper blade accommodates level or 'wedge' stone through up to 40 degrees roll with free transverse movement. This time proven system transforms splitting by allowing stones of varying dimension to be split easily and to a high quality.
The blade carrier floats in 'lifetime-lubricated' guides, with very little friction. This system virtually eliminates transverse guide wear and frame loading, whilst maximizing the available split force.

SNELL Double stroking blades
The unique SNELL Double stroking blades system ensures effortless stone handling into split position with fixed height rollers and / or bed. The lower blade only rises above the level of the fixed bed when the upper blade descends to split.
The lower splitting blade is automatically raised well above the fixed bed level at the moment of split. By default, the lower blade sits below the level of the fixed bed, allowing the operator to push the stone over the blade.
The automatic control of the lower blade can be overridden to set the blade in a fixed position above the beds. This is a useful option when splitting small or soft stones.

These powerful machines produce an exceptional quality output from varied material with less waste, at high speed, year in year out. They require 'near zero' maintenance (one greasepoint every 6 months).
The machine can be powered by SNELL hydraulic packs and when combined with SNELL conveyors, vibrating hoppers and tumblers forms a complete stone processing system.
We appreciate from our experience that many applications are specialised.
